Most of the time I avoid blogging. I see so many amazing blogs and have ones that are inspiring and informative that I read every single day. Then when it comes to my space, I avoid posting because I lack photos. I know, its silly right? I have a decent digital camera, but its chords and charger are somewhere in the depths of our storage (hubby and I currently are living with our parents while all of our belongings are in a massive pile in a garage somewhere).
When we went to Australia nearly 2 months ago I borrowed a camera off a beautiful girl from our church (and still haven't returned it! Eeeee!!) Anyway, i'm still using the camera occasionally and taking photos - but I don't have the chord for it so need to use my brother in laws laptop to transfer photos.
Basically, its all a bit too much for me. Therefore, I put off posts for weeks at a time while I gear up the motivation to borrow his laptop for a few moments it would take me to transfer my photos.
Silly, right?
I have lots I want to blog about, including the baby shower that was thrown at the weekend, braxton hicks, a baby update, a knitting update, Graemes birthday, Mothers day and more.
Blogging Rules 101 tell me not to post without *great* photos, however as I currently have no photos I'm going to ignore this rule for the time being. Please please forgive me in due time.
We are a small step closer to moving into our own home soon, please continue to pray for us, and when that happens my camera will be recovered! :)

Royalty
I know its a week late, but thats seriously how long it takes for me to get around to uploading photos since I am still *borrowing* a camera (I'm so sorry Judie, I will return it asap!!!)
Last week, Prince William (*swoon*) and Kate Middleton were wed, 11pm NZ time.
A small gathering of royalists converged at a friends home, where we hosted them with tea out of fancy cups, scones, crumpets and slices. It was divine!
Do you know what the coolest part was? The guys who came all got dressed up too! They wore shirts, and had their hair all slicked to the side, one was even wearing a top hat and cane! I squealed with excitement when I walked through the door!!
The wedding was FABULOUS. I loved it so much. It was so much fun to all be gathered together for something positive and celebratory. Lately, it seems like we have just been gathering in unfortunate circumstances. It was so. heartwarmingly. nice. to have something good to share in.
Prince William was dashing, Kate was just gorgeous. She looked like a real lady, or a real princess :)
These photos were so sneaky... Is Rachel wearing an eye patch in this one??
Thanks to the friends who came!

Dear Baby, Week 23 Update
Current weight: 65.3kgs (up 0 kgs since last week)
Total weight gained: 0.30 kgs (original weight: 65 kgs)
Babys growth this week: Average length from head to bum is 20cm, She weighs approximately half a kg and will double in size and weight in the next month. She has a lot more skin than fat, and will be filling out over the next four weeks (so i'm allowed a few peanut slabs ;))
Times I have vomited this week: 3
Thoughts this week: I read in a book this week that I can start playing games with our baby to encourage its muscles and brain development. One way to do this is whenever I feel a good kick, to press on the opposite side of my tummy and say "kick baby kick". Over time and repitition, the baby apparently learns the game and will kick you in the hand. Then you are to move to another area and say they same thing, and she should learn to kick you there too.
Doesn't that just blow your mind? It seriously blows mine. To say that fetuses aren't 'real' or 'human' before birth is just ludicrous to me now. If anything were to happen to her, she is my baby and my child. I would grieve just the same as if she had been born and had taken her first breath.
(photo taken at Amies baby shower, just before I conceived, I'm pretty much this size now)
Dear Baby Girl,
I wish we had a name for you, we have some really great ideas and I love them, but how do we pick the greatest one that you'll love when you're older? I keep saying them out loud to you, hoping you'll give me a massive boot and then "i'll know" what we should call you. Any thoughts?
I started to read the bible out loud to you this week. Books have been telling me that you relate really easily to my emotions, so I have been trying to make the bible sound exciting, haha, hopefully you will love it when you're older. I've also started to play a game with you whenever you give me a good kick. So far you haven't caught on to our game yet, but if you're anything like your Dad you will soon.
A lady from our Church is throwing us a baby shower this weekend for you, Baby Bruce and Baby Lucy. You're all going to be born within 3 months of each other (you babies are going to take over the hearts of everyone at C3!) Can't you tell that we are all excited to meet you? We are already having parties in your honour! I'm looking forward to it, and am so glad I have such an amazing reason to celebrate. It's also your Dads 25th birthday, he's going away for a boys weekend, and it's mothers day! Your Nana and great Nana will be in Christchurch for it, and they will get to see my bump properly for the first time.
Well little one, thats it for another week, only 17 more to go and I couldn't be more excited! Keep growing little one, you impress me and amaze me every single day.
Much love,
Momma xx

Our Home
This afternoon we go and view 3 more houses for rent for our little [but expanding] family.
I am so thankful to the Mutus for having us stay for the last 4 months, it has really helped us out a lot while our finances and futures seemed uncertain and gave us a reprieve to get everything in order. Now things are coming together we are looking for our own place.
I can't wait to have our massive sofa to sit on, or our red spotted mugs that are the perfect drinking size. I am looking forward to having my dresser back so I can display all of my pretty scarves and necklaces again, or to have our winter clothes out of storage. I can't wait for Graeme to finish work and come home to his own home where he can rest and zonk. I can't wait to vaccum and clean my own shower, and have pretty flowers in the toilet and on the dining table. We can have people over when ever we like, they can make a mess, and I can clean it up, knowing we all had a great time. I can't wait to have regular connect groups, and stop inviting myself over to other peoples homes. I can't wait to have space for our life.
Hopefully these houses tonight will prove to be just what we are after. If you're of the praying type, would you join us in our mission to find *our* home. We would really appreciate that.
Hopefully we'll be hosting you for a home warming soon! :D
